In addition to providing educational grants and contributions to various charitable organizations, the Stock Show maintains a variety of scholarship programs through various Stock Show departments. Each department is responsible for raising their scholarship funds each year and the scholarships are awarded by the various department superintendents and are based on department specific goals. All scholarships awarded have expiration dates. Upon expiration, any unused scholarship funds are reapplied to the awarding department available scholarship funds.

The Stock Show is classified as a public charity under section a 2 on the Internal Revenue Code and therefore is exempt from federal income tax under section c 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Stock Show are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. The Stock Show classifies funds received by donors for the purpose of funding scholarships as Temporarily Restricted Net Assets.

The Stock Show uses these assets for their donor designated purpose. The various Stock Show scholarship programs consist of the following:. Promoting Mechanics, Agriculture, Development and Eduction through youth scholarships.

In addition to the Stock Show Scholarship Programs, the Stock Show supports several organizations and their existing programs. A donation to our general scholarship fund will be distributed via one of the following organizations: Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

The various Stock Show scholarship programs consist of the following: The competition, open to ALL students ages that are currently enrolled in a Texas Public, Private, Charter or Home school in grades Kindergarten — twelfth, presents an opportunity to showcase artistic abilities and offers a great chance to win awards, college scholarships or cash prizes.

Additionally, select qualifying non-placing entries will be showcased as a special exhibit at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Beef Challenge will consist of two competitions: Educational Information Challenge and Sales Talk.
