The company employs thousands of independent contractors each year to sell their vacuums using old school marketing tactics such as door-to-door sales and word of mouth promotion. This Kirby vacuum job is primarily for those who already have had success as a salesperson and who can aggressively sell a vacuum to whoever you want.

There are many people out there who have successfully turned selling Kirby vacuums into a lucrative business and for many people this business models works for them. However, many of these people come to the Kirby Company looking for a legit job to pay their bills.

This is the predicament I found myself in and if I had actually gotten paid from Kirby, I probably would have never ended up on the street. When you first get recruited to Kirby, it is usually by answering a job ad posted on Craigslist or Indeed. Upon calling to learn more about the opportunity, you will be asked to interview that very same day. Your interview will go off without a hitch and before you know it you have to attend training the next day or the following week.

However, many of the specifics are hidden for you the moment your trainer and various other employees begin to fill your heads with images of money. They will usually go on about fun drunken company vacations, thousands of dollars given each week to each employee and dreams of owning your own Kirby business. Once you have completed your training, then you are finally taken out to the field to try out your newly found selling skills to sell these vacuums.

Now in terms of commission, it will vary based upon the price of the Kirby being sold. You also have to keep in mind that there are a variety of financing options available with this company and as such your commission payment can vary based on the amount being financed by a customer. There are different grade levels when it comes to financing a Kirby and each one has a set rate to which you will be paid.

With that all being said, if you want to create a stable income stream for yourself with the Kirby Company then it is recommended that you sell at least 15 Kirby vacuums for the month. Out of everything I have found on Kirby online, it was nothing compared to the number of Kirby vacuum job complaints.

While there is always one person that has something positive to say about the company, there are thousands of others that hate this company with every fiber of their being. Just take a look for yourself at what some people are saying about this company.

Take it from someone who has actually worked for Kirby before: If you are in financial crisis at this very moment, Kirby will not save you unless you have exceptional sales skills and can sell a vacuum every single day. Working for Kirby is very demanding, takes 12 to 14 hours a day and is one of the most stressful jobs you will ever work. With that being said this is not a job that I recommend at all, unless you have a good sales background.

For those who are complaining about the long hours of knocking doors: I suggest you should get better at knocking doors. A good door knocker only has to work about 4 hours a day, if that, and the rest of the day is booked. Unfortunately, it also sounds like the people who hired you didn;t do much as far as teaching anyone anything. They should have been holding clinics every morning teaching you what you needed.
