Unlike other brokerages, there are no costs to trading in Robinhood. I also like that Robinhood Gold gave me the opportunity to trade on Margin and get instant access to funds for a low monthly fee.
I like the layout and the ease of use. The biggest con I find with Robinhood is there are certain stocks that are unavailable and there are no fractional shares and I couldn't find certain stocks on the market. There are also no mutual funds but there are ETFs.
I look forward to seeing additional educational materials being made available. An online website version of Robinhood would be a great addition or improvement to the brokerage with further educational materials for investors like how other brokerages offer.
Other than that, it's an amazing brokerage that allows new and young investors like myself to get their footing in. There are pros and cons to this app. It is a free brokerage service. If you know nothing about trading, are interested in actually trading real money with relatively little stress, then this app is most likely perfect for you. Cons The downsides are few, but the app is not for day traders.
The data provided on the app is only level 1 data. Meaning it's not as up to date as other paid brokers. Experienced traders understand why this is perfectly natural, but for novice traders, these little pieces of information can make the difference between losing and gaining on a short term trade. Blah blah stock market is hard; don't lose all your money. Download the app, read the terms, try not to lose money. Cause it's limited, but if you ain't got 25k in yo account then it's perfect.
RobinHood makes it easy for beginners to get setup and begin trading! If you've traded before and looking to invest more into stocks this place is for you. I've had an account for a couple months now and never had any problems.
Minor bugs here and there but fixed quickly thru updates! I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone and everyone! Never put in more than you can afford to lose! Consider it already a loss. If you gain then it's a plus, so trade smart!
